Approaching Storm

“Painted in Hawaii while we were waiting for a hurricane to make landfall. It was fast approaching the Big Island. My nerves were on edge so I decided to paint instead of fretting. Funny thing is the storm never made a direct hit. The ever protective massive shield volcano, Mauna Loa, shredded the hurricane as it attempted to make landfall. I don’t think we got more than a light drizzle and cloudy skies.”
